Classic Smythson manuscript book with 192 feint ruled leaves bound in new Cerulean leather.

New for Spring/Summer 2010, the Cerulean Collection is inspired by the warm, sun-dappled waters of the Aegean Sea and the blue painted houses of the Greek Islands. Featuring vivid blue baby crocodile-print leather with a high-shine finish and a contrasting matt blue lining, the collection comprises a diverse range of beauty, business, jewellery and travel accessories.
• 192 leaves of Smythson watermarked, feint ruled, pale blue Featherweight paper with a gilt edge. Featherweight paper is half the thickness and weight (50 grams per square metre) of normal paper so a great many pages can be contained in a very slim, light book. Normally such thin paper is not appropriate for use with a fountain pen but Featherweight paper is tested rigorously to ensure that it is strong and opaque enough to be used with fountain pens without bleed.
• Classic Smythson "floppy" binding in Cerulean leather, a vivid blue baby crocodile-print leather with a high-shine finish.
• Endpapers lined in blue fabric.
• Ribbon marker.
• The book cover can be gold-stamped with names or initials.
• Presented in a tissue lined Nile Blue gift box.
Dukes 7.5" x 5.5" / 19 x 14cm.
