Since 1887, Smythson has been designing for life on the move, crafting travel companions long before the era of commercial flight. Our new store at Heathrow Terminal 5 marks the latest chapter in this history, opening exactly 30 years since we first arrived at the airport in 1996. Located in Heathrow's busiest terminal, the space brings the quintessential Smythson experience to the departure lounge, offering a curated selection of signature books, leather pieces, stationery, and Terminal 5 exclusives – essential packing for the seasoned traveller.

The Heathrow Exclusives

To mark the opening, we’ve reimagined a trio of our classic travel pieces in a palette specially selected for Heathrow. The Multi-Zip Case features four separate compartments to organise currencies, receipts, and documents, while the Passport Cover and Luggage Tag keep your most important pieces protected and well dressed. Each piece comes in a choice of six shades: Blossom, Nutmeg, Eau de Nil, Turmeric, Silver, and Ultramarine, which can be mixed and matched in infinite combinations.

In store, a gold-stamping station brings our storied personalisation service straight to the terminal. Alongside our signature range of fonts and motifs, we’ve introduced a collection of exclusive destination stamps inspired by vintage passport markings. Available only at Terminal 5, use them to commemorate a special trip, celebrate a favourite city, or mark the next adventure before you board.
