THE TRACKSIDE COMPANION

Smythson x Aston Martin Aramco F1® Team

Rooted in British heritage and a commitment to unrivalled craftsmanship, our collaboration with Aston Martin Aramco F1® Team brings together two names in design and engineering.

Serving as a comprehensive guide to the Formula One™ calendar, the journal brings together technical information, unique imagery, and exclusive interviews, giving fans an active role in documenting the season. Across 24 dedicated sections – one for each race city – it provides space to chart every circuit, record race weekend timetables, track live results, and scribble your personal race highlights and notes, from the fastest pit stop to the driver of the day.

Writing in his foreword, Aston Martin Aramco F1® Team Principal Adrian Newey reflects on the value of putting pen to paper:

“My preference for paper and pencil is well documented. It’s not true that I shun modern technology, but there is a seed of truth in the notion that I’d rather have a blank sheet of paper in front of me than a monitor, tablet or phone screen. There is much to be said for the simple pleasure of doing a sketch, or noting down an observation.”

Alongside the interactive elements, the journal offers an unprecedented view behind the scenes of the F1® paddock. Each section opens with essential statistics from every circuit – from lap counts and track length to corners, fastest lap times, and historical records – paired with exclusive interviews. Across these pages, Aston Martin Aramco team members share their insights, featuring commentary from drivers Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll, as well as the engineers, strategists, and mechanics at the heart of every race.

Bound in our signature Panama leather with a photographic lining, the journal balances technical insight with practical pages. Alongside a 2027 calendar and world map pinpointing race locations, a dedicated appendix pairs technical illustrations with spreads detailing the intricacies of the car’s functions and pit stop rules and regulations. Ample ruled pages follow, leaving plenty of space for trackside notes, plots, and plans.
